Abstract:
Roots, scale-like leaves and epidermal tissues of the underground rhizomatous portions of ginger, Zingiber officinale were found heavily mycorrhizal. Vesicular infections occurred in all plant portions and arbuscules were not detected. Vesicles were seen in the xylem vessels. Different types of endogonaceous spores were found in the scale-like leaves.
