Action of testosterone propionate on the protein synthesis of prostate in different physiological conditions.

Abstract:
Protein synthesis during maturation was investigated. The amount of protein was increased with the age. Level of circulating androgen was decreased by castration. The weight and protein of the prostate was increased in one week castrated animal by testosteron propionate therapy, while in precastrated, testosterone propionate replacement therapy for two weeks, increases, the weight of tissue only.
