Abstract:
A 2-factors, maternal age - birth concentration, model has been fitted by Products Factors Standardization Method to separate and estimate the effects of i αi and γk on a date set classified by maternal age and birth concentration. The model fitted gives a consistently better fit to the observed distribution of still-births as compared to maternal age-birth order model. The significance of the effect of birth interval on reproductive wastage rates has also been recognized.
