Abstract:

A study of the factors affecting the microdetermination of sulphate by turbidimetry has been made. This includes the use of various precipitants and stabilizers and study of the effects of some physical parameters. The best results have been obtained when lead nitrate was used for precipitation alongwith acidified alcoholgelatine mixture as stabilizer and solution was stirred for 10 minutes at 60°C.
