Abstract:
The study deals with the effect of absolute starvation on the regeneration of lacertilian tail. Observation of skeletal details by obtaining transparencies through KOH Alizarin Red S method was more time consuming than radiography. Data indicates that absolute starvation does not affect regeneration very much. It was also observed that the regenerative ability of an individual depends greatly upon its constitution and more so on the degree of differentiation of its tissues.
