Abstract:
In the present studies, the sulpher dioxide and nitrogen dioxide from automobile exhaust are reported and discussed. The samples were collected from four busiest roundabouts of Lahore city. The maximum SO2 contents (2166.6) ppb and NO2 contents (1476.6 ppb) are obtained from Azadi Chowk near Minar-e-Pakistan. The SO2 and NO2 in the ambient air ranges from 1950 ppb to 2600 ppb and 1400 to 1630 ppb respectively and are found proportional to traffic density.
