A preliminary report on the effect of thioacetamide on nucleic acids content and lactate dehydrogenase activity of various rat liver fractions.

Abstract:
Some of the previously known hypertrophic effect of thip-acetamide drug on the nucleic acids content and on the enzymatic activity of lactate dehydro-genase were explained and confirmed in various fractions of lyophilized rat liver, obtained during isolation of nuclei. The nucleic acids, soluble proteins and LDH activity of isolated nuclei appear to be more suseeptable to TAA treatment than the parenchymal powder and isolated cytoplasm of rat liver.
