Abstract:
The dry matter and the crude fibre contents in-creased as the growth of the plant advanced. The protein content of all the plants was higher at early stages of growth. The mineral content was also higher at early stages and decreased with in-creasing ago except in berseem and lucerne. There was no marked effect on the ether extract and nitrogen free extract values of the fodders at different stages of growth. The best stage of growth of fodders was determined on protein content basis.
