Abstract:
Modern technologies have played a vital role in wheat cultivation globally. This paper provides an overview of the latest technologies in wheat cultivation, including precision farming, genetic engineering, and data analytics. Precision farming engaged the use of various technologies such as GPS, remote sensing, and soil sensors to precisely manage crop inputs including herbicides, pesticides, fertilizer, and water. This approach not only reduces input cost and improves crop yield but also minimizes the environmental impact of wheat cultivation. Genetic engineering has also played a vital role in improving wheat crop yield and quality. The development of new varieties with desirable traits especially drought tolerance, and resistance to pests and disease. And improved nutritional value is a great achievement of genetic engineering. Data analytics has emerged as a critical tool for managing modern wheat cultivation by analyzing a large amount of data collected from sensors, satellites, and other sources. Farmers and supervisory agents can make decisions about planting, irrigation, and harvesting. In conclusion, modern technology has transformed wheat cultivation into a highly efficient and sustainable practice. For improving crop yield by reducing input costs, we can use precision farming, genetic engineering, and data analytics. As technologies continue to enough and advance, wheat cultivation is likely to become even more productive and sustainable in the future.
