Abstract:
Transvaginal delivery has been dominant so far as there is no obstetric indication in the pregnant women suffering from heart disease in Japan On the other hand, some investigator preferred cesarotomy in severe cases or in those involving the risk of acute heart failure. There have been few cases reported on delivery complicated with heart disease, since it is extremely unusual that the patients with this disease survive to marriageable age even after the treatment There was only one case in which both the mot_er and the infant were sound and one case in which both the mother and the infant were saved from death by cesarotomy.
