Abstract:
Thermal decomposition of [Ni(NH3)4(O2)2] has been studied by Thermogravimetry and Infrared spectroscopic method. The TG results indicates that volatilization in the complex occurs in three steps evolving NH4NO2 and NH2 respectively. The residues at different inflections are identified by I.R. The results show that only Nickel metal remains as an end product i.e. residue.
