Abstract:
The developed model is based on simplified cluster renewal concept and recent developments in hydrodynamics studies. The research work has been focused to develop the suspension-to-wall heat transfer model. In order to measure accuracy with real systems, the model was tested through experimental investigations in a specially designed fluidized bed combustor. The obtained results were compared with the model. The model predictions showed a good agreement with the present experimental data. Empirical correlations were also developed for axial as well as redial heat transfer coefficient.
