Abstract:
Urticaria, an eruption of transient erythematous swellings of the dermis or sub-cutaneons tissues, can be caused by various drugs, dyes, parenteral injections of therapeutic sera and penicillin, food preservatives and additives, contactants, inhalants and by infections and infestations. Psychogenic factors and general medical disorders can also give rise to urticaria Laboratory investigations and treatments are discussed.
