Abstract:
Experiments were conducted to determine the effect of different fertilizers and spacings on growth and oil content of Seasmum indicum L. It was noted that the application of nitrophos at a spacing of 35x25 cm2 significantly increased the plant height, leaf area and seed yield while the oil content was increased by the application of nitrophos at a spacing of 45 x 25 cm2. Other physiochemical constants, however, were not much affected.
