It has been shown that every archimedean 4 - se-miring can be written as a sub-direct sum of an a - idempotent semiring and an a-cancellable semi-ring. By applying results obtained a necessary and sufficient condition of an e - semiring to be a subdirect sum of totally ordered semirings have been obtained.
