Xerography, a Greek derivative, signifies dry reproduction. It is a rapid process and any number of copies can be obtained in a few seconds. The film is replaced by a photoconductive plate of aluminium and fixing is done through exposure to infra-red rays. It has potentialities of becoming the most potent copying system evolved so far.
