A case of amoebic hepatitis and ulceration of the rectum has been described. Treatment with Metronidazole stopped the bleeding from ulcers in 48 hours. The treatment was continued for 10 days. Reduction in the enlargement and tenderness of the liver, a good body weight gain and improvement in general health and vitality was noted.
