It is a study of the technical feasibility and financial viability of local manufacture of hydraulic turbines and generators. Pakistan has a potential for development of more than 30 million K.W. of .hydel power required for setting up 300 turbo generator sets. With the setting up of heavy mechanical complex, it should be possible to create facilities for the manufacture of hydraulic turbines and some major components of generator and its auxiliary equipment.
