Abstract
Investigations to determine the effect of N,P and K on grain yield and quality of chickpea grown on a sandy clay loam soil revealed that the application of 20 kg N + 60 kg 8205/ha was the best with regard to seed yield. The increase in seed yield was due to increased number of pods per plant and heavy seed weight. Moreover, the N,P and K contents of the grain were also improved by the addition of 20 kg N + 60 kg P20s/ha over control.
